Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what we need to move your pet, we delete most of it a few weeks after the trip, and we do not sell any of it to anybody.
Last updated September 2026.
What we collect, and why
What we collect
If you are booking a trip: your name, email, phone number, the pickup and drop-off towns, your dates, details about your pet including species, name, weight and size, a photograph of your pet, and anything you write in the notes or in messages.
If you are driving for us: your name, email, phone number, home base, details of your vehicle and crate, how long you have owned pets, photographs of your rig, and your USDA certification document.
From everybody: ordinary web server records, and a hashed version of your network address used only to stop somebody flooding our forms. The address itself is not stored.
Why we collect it
To match you with a driver, to price the trip, to let the two of you talk without exchanging personal contact details, to take payment, and to be able to help when something goes wrong.
That is the whole list. We do not build profiles and we do not advertise to you.
Photographs
Your pet’s photo is shown to the driver carrying them, and to us. It is not public.
A driver’s rig photos are shown publicly on the driver card, because clients have a right to see the vehicle their animal would travel in. Their USDA certificate is never public. It contains their real name and address and is visible only to us.
How long we keep it
How long we keep things
Not long. Most of what we hold about a trip is removed a few weeks after the pickup window ends, automatically, whether or not anybody asks.
What we automatically delete, and when
Your pet’s photograph: about three weeks after your pickup window ends.
Messages between you and your driver: about three weeks after your pickup window ends.
Photographs from drivers who applied and were never approved: about three weeks after they applied.
Photographs from approved drivers: kept while they are driving for us, because clients need to see the vehicle. Removed when they stop.
Your dashboard link: stops working once the trip details are cleared. That is deliberate, not a fault.
Who can see it
Who can see your information
Us, and the person on the other side of your trip, and only the parts of it they need.
What drivers and clients see of each other
Your driver never sees your email address or your phone number. They see your name, your pet, your towns, your dates and your messages.
You never see your driver’s email address, phone number or surname. You see their first name and last initial, their vehicle, their crate, their route and their messages.
This is why messaging lives on the site. It is not to keep you talking to us, it is so neither of you has to hand a stranger your phone number.
Payment information
We never see or store your card details. Payment is handled by a payment provider, and what comes back to us is whether it worked.
Who we share information with
Our hosting and database provider, which is Cloudflare, because the site has to run somewhere.
Our payment provider, to take payment.
A notification service, if you turn on notifications, and only enough to deliver the alert. We never put the content of a message into a notification.
Law enforcement, if we are legally required to, and a vet or emergency service if an animal’s welfare depends on it.
We do not sell your information
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anybody. There is no version of this business where that is on the table.
On your own device
Notifications on your phone
Only if you ask for them. Turning them on stores a token that lets us send alerts to that one browser, and nothing else.
Turn them off from the same button, or in your phone settings. We delete the token when you do.
Cookies and what this site stores on your device
We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
The site does remember your dashboard link in your own browser, so that if you land on the home page from a saved icon you can tap straight back to your trip. That stays on your device and is never sent to us. There is a "forget this device" button wherever it appears.
Your rights
Your rights over your information
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will do it.
Deleting everything mid trip means we cannot run the trip, so we will talk to you before doing anything irreversible.
California residents
California gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for asking.
We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing for you to opt out of. The rest of your rights work through the same email address above.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anybody under 18. If you think we have, tell us and we will remove it.
Housekeeping
Security
The site runs over HTTPS everywhere. Uploaded files are checked and served in a way that stops them running as code. Dashboard links use long random codes rather than anything guessable. Our admin console is password protected.
No system is perfect. If you find a problem, please tell us rather than anybody else, and we will fix it quickly.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything that matters we will say so on this page and update the date at the top.
